..I just picked up my E90 330 Sport last week in Munich. The car is F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S! But it does feel a "bit" heavier in first gear than does my current E46. Given the technical stats that we are all well aware of, which car will perform better, the E46 330 w/Zhp or the new E90? Here are some pics by the way: |

That's going to be a tough question to answer without a real world comparison. Everyone can bench race, but back-to-back is the only real way to tell, IMO. If I had to guess, I would have to draw a bit of an admittedly crude comparison: E36 M3 is to the E46 ZHP what the E46 ZHP is to the E90 330 w/ZSP. Gets the job done, with similar numbers, but in a different way with a different feel. But, that's just me bench racing.
Oh, and congrats!

I think based on the "paper" stats that with equal drivers the E90 330i will take an E46 ZHP, but not by much. The E90 does weigh more, but it has 20 more HP, the same TQ but at 1K lower in the rpm range, a shorter rear diff, and a 200 rpm higher redline. It's very close either way.

The ZHP E46 was never proven to be a better performer than the ZSP E46. ///Marketing.

Quote: | wait, so the whole point of this 6 page long thread is to prove that aftermarket parts for which we pay thousands of dollars for do ABSOLUTELY nothing to the performance of a car?? that doesnt really make sense, i dont mean to be an @sshole or anything, but i mean, i thought that was the whole premise for the "aftermarket part" industry. and how is it possible that the ZHP does absoultely nothing. $5,000 for a performance package that doesnt help performace?? |
