3 Series sales declined 3.6% this May reflecting the continuing close-out of the 2005 models. More importantly, this month marks the sale of the first of the new E90 3 Series 325i and 330i sedans in the United States. The first day of sale was Friday, May 6.

For comparison, Mercedes Benz sold 4,359 C Class units this month, down 27.4% from the 6,008 units sold last May. C Class YTD sales were down 22.1% for the first five months of 2005.
