E90 trick mirror
Just test drove a E90 330i - 6spd, sport, premium pack. Wow! I want one, or actually what I want is a 330xi wagon. I know, polly no such thing in US this fall. Anyway, the digital compass in the rear view mirror is cool. Dealer man told me it is only available with premium package. I don't want leather so not interested in premium. Anybody know if the trick mirror is available sepately?
thanks.

It's $390 with a nice discount from Circle BMW. It looks like you get the Homelink buttons for garage door etc included as well. Is it me or is the compass a waste of a perfectly good mirror? Lots of people have them in their Ford SUVs and I really don't see the point. I mean...do people ever use these things?

When I asked the SA what the button next to the mirror adjustment switch was, he said for folding up the side mirrors. I couldn't believe it. I did it a few times saying we were going to make the jump to hyperspace. I don't think he thought was too funny, especially after the third time.
Motorized folding side mirrors -- seems a little superfluous to me.
