 From Grey/Walnut to Black/Poplar...

After much consideration, I've decided to switch my Mystic Blue 330i from Grey/Walnut to Black/Poplar. It gets hot here in DC during the dog days of summer, but the Black does look better, IMO, and is easier to maintain (3 year-old son in mind). I think I'll just "suck-it-up" during the hot days. I liked the contrast of the Blue and Grey, but I think it well be still be fine with black. The grey interior just seems to lack the necessary sexiness for this car, but I could be wrong here. I'm interested in any feedback on switching to a Mystic Blue/Black/Poplar color combo. Thanks.

Well, I am going with Arctic/Gray/Walnut and I love it.

Black looks good too its just not for me. I don't enjoy being surrounded entirely in dark colors. And I've already put up with it for four years in my last car.

But if its what you like then go for it!

Mystic Blue will first be available starting with the September 2005 production. I have placed my order with the dealer (which means the sales guy took my deposit) because I was happy with the deal I got. The dealer is not placing my order with BMW until August and I'm expecting an October delivery date (which is excruciating!!). I'm personally doing a Performance Center Delivery so that effects the timing of my delivery too.

haha I'm acutally gonna be doing a PCD as well. my timing is somewhat flexible, so i could wait in order to get the color i wanted (and the comfort package as well)... guess thats the decision ill have to make.

any opinions on mystic blue vs. monaco blue? im planning on having a beige leatherette interior

Yeah, I want Comfort Access as well so I'm hoping the waiting will be worth it. I've read that Monaco Blue is dull and appears more like non-metallic black at times, but I haven't seen it in person. Mystic Blue is definitely lighter and brighter than Monaco Blue. I personally really like the contrast of dark blue with beige , however, BMW's beige is just too much bright yellow for me . Ideally, I would like to have a two-tone beige, just like the terra setup, but obviously that's not an option.
