I'm still debating leasing v. buying for a 330i but my neighbor with an E46 (who used to be a dealer) said that leases are generally limited to dealer stock. I want a manual with iDrive and sport, and I would imagine that not too many of those are in dealer stock.
So was my neighbor right, or can i build-to-order any option set I want? Thanks!

Your neighbor is You can spec out a car that will be leased just as you can spec out and order a car for purchase.

I just started my second BMW lease where I ordered the car to spec. I even ordered my leased M3 without a moonroof, and dealers generally don't like ordering BMWs with no moonroofs even for purchase sales.
