Bait-n-switch or just how it goes?

I ordered my 335i Coupe last month and have been anxiously awaiting my production number ever since. Today I got an email from my SA saying that they got a price increase: Base gone up by $200, Dist. has gone up by $80 and sport pack up by $100. That's a total of $380 she's saying the price has gone up. Shouldn't I be entitled to the price of the car when I ordered the it? Is she pulling a bait-n-switch move on me or is this just how it goes?

Per the product planning and strategy bulletin (in-house BMW document) for MY2007-08 stickied above, cars that were allocated to a customer by Feb 28th and to be delivered before Oct 1st were price-protected.

So IF your dealer had an allocation (which means they would also have a production number) in Feb and slotted your name against it, they should be willing to sell it to you at the old price.

Unfortunately, I think it is likely that they did not yet have an allocation for you, in which case BMWNA is going to charge them the new, higher prices.

Well, depends.... Did you finish haggling price with the dealer? Do you have a deposit on it? Then they should honor the price negotiated. If you have paperwork that has the final price on it, I would hold them to it.

Is "WLA" mean West Los Angeles?

If so, PM me and I will get you a better deal at a local dealer out here. You shouldn't have to wait more than a few days for a production number!

yeah nub...

if you need a better deal Emission will help you or I can help you as well...

I just help sell two Lexus GS350's on the same day... and both sold at Kearny Mesa

as long as you live in Los Angeles Area...

by the way how much over invoice did you get your 335i coupe? Was it dealer inventory or ED pickup?
