So I got this invite to do something called BMW's "Hot Lap" to test drive the new E90. Decided to do some reasearch on what this event was all about. Apparently they have profesisonal drivers ride along side you while you can take the car on a road course up over 100mph!! You can drive the cars as hard as you want and they even have everyone wear helmets.  I read this one guy's review (posted link below) on it and it sounds and looks amazing... can't wait! Looks just like the Ultimate Driving Event. I wonder if BMW is gonna do one for the E90 like they did for the E46 in '99 (or was it '98, I forget). That's where I first drove an E46, and loved it.

We test drove a 330i w/sport pkg. last Friday in Tampa. The sales rep gave us a brochure for the Ultimate Driving Experience scheduled June 3,4 and 5. Call 888-344-4269 to make a reservation. We're counting down the days. They also have a student session for drivers 15-20 years old on the 6th. Our son is signed up for that. BTW, with the test drive we took Friday, we've fallen for this car.
