 Post Your E90 Deals Here!

Hi, probably going to lease the car, so thought it'd help to know the deals that everyone got who leased the car. If possible, post the dealership too, this way maybe I can luck out like you did!

Thanks folks.

posting the dealership probably is not a good idea. some people take the price from one dealer to another to haggle better price. i don't think that is an ethical way of dealing since that screws the dealer who gave the great deal at the first place. (if i'm a dealer, i wouldn't give you my best price unless i know you'll buy from me at that price, and i wouldn't want you to give out that info to public). instead, people should learn the deal range in general, and use that info to make the best deal.

I'm sorry, I must have missed something here. You're saying we have an ethical duty to CAR DEALERS not to share pricing information? I see this as an attempt to level the playing field a bit.

No, no problem sharing the pricing info. Just not "$x from y". Because some people will be tempted to go to z instead of y and say "y is giving $x. can you do $x-200?". The problem with it is that it punishes y who gave you a good straight deal. You want to reward hiim, not punish him.

How is it punishing a dealer to shop around and compare prices?

In your example, you could take dealer z's quote back to dealer y to give them a chance to match or beat it, and see who offers the best deal. At some point one will say "nope, that's as low as we go". Nobody gets "punished".

That's just capitalism. The dealer's reward is making a profit from many customers. I don't think this thread will put anyone out of business or out of a job.
