SPORT SEATS ARE WAY BETTER THAN REGULAR ONES- BUT BMW WILL NOT LET YOU BUY THEM WITHOUT BUYING THE WHOLE SPORT PACKAGE. HAS ANYONE FOUND A WAY TO GET AROUND THIS PROBLEM? I HAVE CALLED A COUPLE OF BMW PART DEPTS AND THEY SAY YOU CAN NOT JUST BUY THE SEATS (AND JUST BOLT THEM IN.) IDEAS?

No ideas, except to buy the whole sports package. Is it that you don't want the sports suspension (and other goodies) or that you simply just don't want to pay for it? If it's the money, I would say save a few $$$, take a deep breath, pay for it and enjoy it with a big smile.

I'd say just buy the whole sports package. Besides the steering wheel being better, the seats being amazing and the sport suspension being sweet - it'll raise your resale value and give you better wheels!

I test drove the 330i sport yesterday and I was really impressed with the suspension. I saw one of those steel construction plates on the street ahead of me and I braced myself for a sharp jolt. It didn't happen. The sport suspension just smoothed it out so that it felt like a minor ripple in the road.
Get the sport package. You won't be sorry. If you really can't use the 18" wheels where you live then you can easily swap them for 17s and maybe pocket a few bucks in the bargain. Believe me, there will be plenty of folks in this forum crying about the cost of a new set of 162 wheels for their 325i or 330i non-sport.

My Motive For Only Wanting The Sport Seats By Themselves Is Twofold: Sport Suspension=jaring Ride(what Do You Think?) And 18" Wheels And Ultra Low Tires=jaring Ride And No Traction In The Cold- Heaven Forbid Snow!- (i Live In Ny Where We Do Get That Type Of Weather!) I Even Thought If I Got The Sport Package I Could Trade The Wheels With A Non Sport Package Owner- Who Will Think I Was Crazy To Offer Such A Deal! Certainly No One Will Be Willing To Trade Me Sport Seat For Regular Ones!
