3 Across America, Santa Monica Pier, CA

Hey I'm leaving the house right now and i'm heading down to the Santa Monica pier to check out the 3 Across America event. This will be the second to last one. Sad to say the weather today is gloomy and it rained last night. Kind of sucks I was looking forward to a nice sunny day at the beach, oh well. I'll be back in a couple hours and I'll post some pics.

I'm supposed to be there at 1pm, but I didn't see any point. I already drove the car on Monday.

Please give us a full report.

Actually I was just there, but a bit dissapointed to see one car only a 330i w/Sport Package. Needless to say that there were other bimmers around, but I wanted to see more examples of what the 3 series has to offer. Also a personality from BMW USA was answering questions for the crowd, but a few of us were more knowledgeable that the gentleman presenting. You would think that they should be informed!!!!
I got to listen to the LOGIC system and quite honestly it sounds better than my 4RUNNER, but it does not justify the price in the upgrade...too trashy at the High and Low ends...maybe if I had the chance to tweak it a bit
The car still looks great and solid ( Well after all is a BMW), I wanted to hear the engine purrrrr, but I had to leave after an hour of questions by the crowd. Yet I am going to buy my 325i via ED at the end of this month, because it is a sweet looking car and it looks BAD
However BMW should take future owners more seriously when they send someone to present considering the competition and since Southern California is their biggest market segment after NY. I do not mean that other states are not important, and personally I do not know how other shows were (perhaps other members can help), but I was expecting more cars and thus more opportunities to see and touch before committing....

Overall my experience was pleasent, I saw it and I still want it. It looks PHATTER in person than in the pictures...I'll try to test drive it before leaving just to get the feel for it or maybe I'll just wait for the surprise...Just my 2 cents.
