 Just test drove 330i

Stopped in the friendly neighborhood BMW dealer to see if any E90 were around and low and behold they were.

They actually offered me a test drive without my asking and the salesperson was very Knowledgeable and Nice.....Whoa..... was this really happening?

The car looks quite good for a Bangle and the only area that feels weird is where the headlight lens meets the front fender. It was the dark grey color which looks excellent.

The fit and finish on the interior was excellent as well. I did not care for the look of the dash that high line is too sharp. It had the logic 7 which sounded nice.

The push button start was pretty cool but the keys now hang over your leg which could be a problem.

The exhaust note is excellent, very satisfying, almost M3 like. You can hear it filter through the interior with all windows up and sunroof closed.

The steering was good but did not feel connected like E46 or X5. I'll have to try again since the car had no miles and the tires were not broken in.

The engine seemed very rev happy but did not notice much torque down low, which was a surprise.

The body felt very stiff and solid which gives you a postive feeling about the car.

Overall I give it a

Wow, this comment scares me as you currently have (and I assume are used to) a 323 which basically has no low end torque and then you drive the new 330 and say it doesn't seem like it has much...not good.

That's the first time I've ever heard that from someone who drove an E90 330, whether it be from the internet forums or the car mags.

Well... it had no miles on it so I felt guilty to totally floor it and besides its only my opinion

I would like to see the printed torque curve tho...

I just drove the e90 330i too, about an hour and a half ago. I thought it really pulled from a lot lower rpm than my e46 330i does. Funny that you say that, bimmerguy. I thought it really pulled from about 2000, where mine pulls from about 2650. I had a 99 e46 323i, and it pulled from about 4000.

It was a quick test drive and I did not stare at the tach while I was driving. I was not impressed when I stepped on the gas and I had the steptronic in sport mode.
