I need help in selecting the options for the 2006 325i I plan on ordering. I need to try to stay in the 33K area total. (I'm currently debating ED so that might lower my cost also.) My current plan is finance the base model price and pay cash for any options I want to add.
So if I start with a base model: 325i - Sparkling Graphite Metallic - Black Leathette - Aluminum Trim - Style 161 Wheel Style - Automatic. (I took these options from the BMWUSA website. I don't have a brochure yet.)
What else do I "need" in your opionion and why?

Judging by your location, heated seats!

Many consider the sport package to be a must. It isn't terribly expensive and adds much better seats and steering wheel. It also helps the exterior appearance by giving the car a nicer wheel/tire combo and lower ride height. And don't forget about the much better handling.
If you aren't set on SG, you can save some cash by going with a paint color of white/black/red.

FWIW:
Must have bare minimum:
Sport pkg - stiff is better Heated seats - great when below freezing Xenons - turn night into day
Will pay extra to swing it:
Lumbar - good for long trips Metallic paint - just to be different Leather - prefer it to plastic
Frivolis: Navigation Active Cruise Control Active Steering Park Distance Control Rear Sunshade
