I was test-driving E90 today (both 325i and 330i) with Step. What surprised me is that when I push the gas pedal it takes a short while for the car to react. The salesperson said it's becaues it's a new car so the engine is not broken in and after 1000 miles it would feel much better. Is this true?
I remember driving E46 with step last year and I didn't feel this "delay".

I remember driving E46 with step last year and I didn't feel this "delay". | I drove an e90 325i with step, and I hated it. There was something not quite right about it. What bugged me most is that when you start off from standstill, it feels like it starts off in some super-low gear. But it only stays in that gear for about a second before upshifting. I need to drive one again to study it further.
