 Feeling cheated with US 325i

I am interested in E90 325i. Somehow I feel being cheated with the 3.0L engine which produce the same output as the EURO 2.5L.

Am I strange or someone has the same feeling.

I felt that way too. But really it has to do with marketing, economics, maximizing profits, etc.

There have been a lot of threads debating this topic, just do a search of the e90 forum.

Edit -
Here's one:

I don't feel cheated, unless it has worse gas mileage or is heavier. If anything it's nice to know you might be able to tune it to 255 hp.

But I do feel the 330 is now the smart choice, since I want power seats and the Logic 7, and then the price is not that much higher.

Then don't buy it. Get the 330i.

I feel the opposite. You pay 2.5 liter prices for a 3.0 liter engine. Sweet.

I agree. I'd rather have a 3.0 than a 2.5 for the same $$. I suspect the 3.0 may perform better (flatter torque curve)... I haven't seen the maps side by side, so can't say for sure. Even then, the map for the 3.0 could be understated.

Too funny.
