So we went in and the salesman agreed to $1500 over invoice and went gave him a check for a deposit. But... one he put plus fees on the paper and did not specify what fees or how much, two he says that we have to pay $500 Maco, three no one signned anything (except me signing the check). Now I read there is no Maco on ED cars and I would feel better if I know just what fees. What is reasonable, if anything? and it does not feel like a done deal yet with nothing signed. Is this normal? Help me out here guys. My husband is too nice of a guy to be good with making a deal. He is in charge of everything with wheels and I am in charge of everything with $$$ signs so we have a cross over problem here. |

My deal was for about $1500 off of Euro-Delivery, but then I read the bottom & this particular dealer is literally RAPING customers on documentation fees @ $189! I complained about it but all I got was free splash-guards installed. What exactly is MACO? I've never heard of it....

There are no MACO fees on ED. Ask him to remove the charge.

Furthermore, why even pay a deposit for ED? When I ordered for ED, there was no deposit required. After all, you're going to pay in full for the car thirty days prior to pick-up.
You're not taking a car from his allocation, you're ordering the car from BMW NA. He's just processing paperwork for you. There's certainly no reason to pay his advertising costs that he's passing on to you with MACO.

No deposit required to put in an order for delivery.

Yes, better talk with the dealer and make sure about the price list. And REMEMBER, it's $1500.00 over ED wholesale, not ED invoice. Don't get ripped
If you are not sure, post the price here.
