AAA or AutoClub
I'm having a hard time deciding which membership to sign up with! AAA seems to have a lot of other goodies but lacks on tire hazard which AutoClub is strong on. The membership fees of each are not very different.
What have been your experiences with either if you signed up, or would you recommend one of these?

The free maps, tourbooks, DMV, int'l DL, etc. services from my local Calif AAA office makes AAA worthwhile to me. They also offer other services, such as travel, insurance, financial services. Occasionally, I will book hotels using the AAA rate which can sometimes be the cheapest rate.
I'm not familiar with AutoClub, though.

What's "tire hazard"?

I have the auto club and the tire and wheel warranty for $28 or so for a year. Never had a claim yet, but I have heard good things from people who have filed claims. They cover up to $350/tire/wheel with a max per year of $1400. I believe you need to have 3mm of tread life left to qualify for a claim as well.
AAA overs a whole bunch of other services. I think the 2 companies are just different in what they offer.

I can think of a thousand other things I would rather have then wheels. But if thats your thing, buy the BMW tire and wheel insurance. Get the plan that fits you best.
