Calling all people who have Tinted their Windows...

Hi,

3 weeks back I got LLumar ATR Charcoal (supposively better than dyed-charcoal, lifetime waranty) Tint 30% all-around.. done @ CARPretty, Philadelphia,PA.
The side windows are perfectly done (no water spots or anything).. but on the rear windsheild there is this oily-look ? During night where is light in back, I will see a big line of reflection for each car light in back... so if there are 4 cars behind, pretty much all I see is white Lines all over rear windsheidl lol.. It is annoying.

I took it back to the shop asking about, they said it is "common" ?? They offered me to redo rear windsheild but said it might leave some residue and might not be as clean as the first one. Also offered to replace Rear with Dyed-Charcoal, which supposively will fix this prob. But I prefer metallic reflection look.. What to do??

Anyone else have this prob?

"Oily look" and "line of reflection" doesn't sound good. I don't know much about Charcoal film but something doesn't sound right about your description. Can you post picture at night of the rear windshield, maybe we'll be able to help you out? I went with ceramic film and I don't experience the same problems you have.

Sorry dont have camera, and it probably hard to see with camera..

Say if you put a light behind rear windsheild, normally u will just see a circle of light in Center of windsheild right.. now this is how it appears after tint
