Can only advise on a 2006 Audi A8-Sorry! Smart choice to explore all you're options, Audi is definitely starting to become a real force! Good luck-i would advise the 735 as they were better cars back in '96 - i have a '95 740iL and it's been great- just be aware that they can potentially cost quite a bit in repairs. My advise, go for the BMW. When and if you start to look at the newer generation 7 series, than Audi is the way to go. Best of luck, mate.

I thought this article was very interesting. I provided the quote about Audi and BMW, Hmmm...
J.D. Powers' Customer Retention By Brand By Steven Lang December 9, 2006 http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/?p=2778
26. Audi - 35.6 - If VW knew how to build cars that didn't have the long-term durability of a Kia Rio, they'd be the kings of the North American Yuppie market. Instead they offer the worst warranty in the entire industry and electronics that not even AC Delco would have tolerated back in the '70's.
4. BMW - 56.5 - BMW has improved seven percentage points since 2003. Despite their models' controversial styling and iDrive, customers keep coming back to the roundel.
