Is it a 2.5 or detuned 3.0?
I've read that both engines are brand new with the magnesium/aluminum engine block and Valvetronic, one at 215bhp (the 325i) and one with 255bhp (the 330i). Any idea?
quoted from roadfly... written by hanger Just got a new bulletin from BMW. They say that the two engines are 3 liters, but the 330i has a 'three stage intake manifold', and the 325i has a 'single stage intake manifold'. They say the reason that both cars have 3 liter engines are 1, of course to have more power, and 2, so the engine will meet 'current and future emissions regulations'. Other than that, they just released new 0-60 times for the 525i and 530i, and power and torque differences.
