 window switches

E90 will have its window switches on the driver's side like all other makes now and like the 5 and 7

what is the general preference of people?

window switches on the console ( E46 ) or on the driver's side ( E90 )?

It's much more ergonomic (for me) to have them on the console.

After 30+ years of driving non-bimmers, I'm used to having the switches on the door. After 3+ years with a BMW, I'm getting used to them on the console, but I still find myself reaching for the door when I want to use the switches.
exactly how i feel, only shorten the years a bit... i bet 2 more years and i'll still be doing the same. i think the problem is related to being in other peoples cars whose window switches are on the door. it's like quitting smoking but having one every once in awhile...?
