I personally don't think any of these models have been surpassed looks wise. They're as good as it gets IMO. | Oh yes yes.......definately. When the facelifted E46 came out I thought it was.....a step back? One exception is the '04 facelift for the coupes which looked good IMO.

The 3 series has become too generic and bland looking. It used to be distinctive enough that you could easily recognize one at a distance....no longer the case. I just saw a picture of the soon-to-be-released 3 series coupe and it looks a lot like the Lexus GS 330 (300?)

I'm not voting because the poll question is flawed.
All 5 series cars e24, e34, e39 ????
What about the 8 series? Other cars?
Even if this just for current vehicles, the poll is still isn't clear. Does 3 series mean e46, e90 or both? Are we casting one vote for sedan, coupe and touring? What about convertables and roadsters? The current 5 touring looks a lot better than the sedan.
Does design mean the way the car looks from the outside, or the entire design of the car.
Where is checkbox for the Mini?
