Circa 2001 was a great year for BMW.
E39 5 Series
E46 3 Series
E38 7 Series
M Roadster (S54)
M Coupe (S54)
X5
Z8
I personally don't think any of these models have been surpassed looks wise. They're as good as it gets IMO.

I could not agree more. 2001 was also pre-facelift on the E46 wasn't it?
