Hit a curb today pulling into the gym parking lot. I had not had my coffee yet. Does anyone know of a rim repair shop or mobile service available in the San Francisco North Bay area. Located in Marin would be even better. Not that noticeable, but it's driving me nuts!! Thanks in advance for the help. |

PETER PAN SCRATCHED MY WHEEL BUT WOULDN"T ADMIT IT. They put a 4" graze on the edge of the wheel.
I took it to Wheel Techniques, who were highly recommended by several on the board. They quoted me $200.
I have 17" style 44's.
If you can't find anybody in the N bay, consider these guys.

Check http://mobilewheelrepair.com/ , maybe they have somebody in your area. I just found out that they service my city but I may attempt to fix it myself, let me know if you want simple DIY.

I have also been recommended to go to Wheel Techniques by the shop that put my tires on in San Jose. One of my rims were a bit out of round on the back side, but it still balanced out fine. I haven't looked into them but just wanted to toss my 0.02 cents in. I'll probably check them out when my current set of tires are worn out.

I thought about doing it myself, but I wanted to know all the steps.
What kind of sanding paper to use?
What brand and kind of primer?
What brand and code(color) of paint?
If you could send me those details, that would be great.
Again, Thanks for the info!!
This site Rocks.
