hi - I was thinking of getting a vaporetto for house cleaning and was wondering if it would also remove salt stains - or it it too powerful?

50/50 vinegar and water mix and a stiff brush will do the trick. Wet vac as much as possible and leave towels on the area for a day or so to lift the damp salty water out of the carpet.
