Question on delivery
I have a 2008 535xiT on order. It's to arrive at the vehicle prep center around 4/2. Does anyone know how long they're typically held there before they send them to the dealership? So far, they've been ahead of every date the dealer had given me -- from production to shipping. I'm hoping it will be at the dealer before 4/23. That's the original date I was given. You guys seem to know more than my dealer! Thought you might have this information.
By the way, what exactly do they do to them at the VPC?

Wecome to Bimmerfest  . If it's at the VPC on 4/2, it should make it up to Maine by 4/23 definitely. 3-5 days at the VPC, 3-5 days From S. Carolina (if I recall) to Maine.
They do all sorts of stuff at the VPC.. mostly checking the vehicle over and such.
