I bought my 2006 BMW M Roadster new in April 2006. It is not my main vehicle that
I drive everyday. I have had it back to the dealer 5 times. Currently only 3500 miles.
lst problem, my car hood would not raise, so the dealer took the wheel off as the
latch would not release for the hood on one side. 2nd problem my tail light mounted
on the trunk was falling out. It had to be replaced.
My fuel sensor had to be replaced due to recall and I
also had a recall for the phone speaker on the steering wheel. Next my radio would
not turn off when the car was shut off, even after exiting vehicle and coming back
10 minutes later. My radio and CD player died completely before being replaced the
next week. Now my CD player is doing something weird again, I believe it will have
to be replaced (the radio & cd player) again. When I hit my volume button on the
steering wheel to turn radio or cd player down, it changes tracks on my cd @ random,
not every time.
I have had 3 miatas for fun since 1995, i have never had the 1st problem.
I love my BMW, but these little things going wrong take the fun away. I believe
the radio system must be of low quality. I live an hour away from the nearest
dealership.
Has anyone else had crazy problems with their 2006 M roadster??
