 The Ultimate Drive

Ok, just as a review. My mother and I went to Valley Auto World here in NC and decided to test drive some vehicles and help raise money for the breast cancer foundation. I'm only 18, so I couldn't drive any, but I was a passenger w/ my mom. At first, I thought before we went that we may get 2 test drives in or so. Well, we arrived around 8 am and as soon as we got their started test driving and constantly test drove cars until about 2pm which is when the crowd came in. We were in the 750Li, 550i, 335i, 328xi, Z4, X5 (3.0 liter) and then the 4.8 liter. Let me say this. The V8's on the BMW's are simply amazing. Wow! Love the growl that those suckers produce. Oh yeah, and I can't possibly forget the comfort seats. Wheww! I thought I was in heaven today until it was time to head home. Anyway, the 550i was by far my favorite, and the X5 4.8 was my second favorite. I think the X5 produced the better growl when it was punched. Sounded like a race car. I'm just so amazed. My mom is really happy too that she got to test drive a bunch today. Think she racked in a little over 130 miles. lol. I had to prowl her fingers off the 550i and pull her away. Anyway, if anybody can participate in this event, then you should. It's fun to test drive these cars even if you're just a passenger, and plus, it raises $1 for every mile for breast cancer.

We did this two years ago. The drive was a contributing factor to our buying our first bimmer. We are doing this again on the 6th of next month. Totally a blast to do for what is a wonderful cause.

I did this when I was 18 (10 years ago) and they did let me drive. I went down there with 3 other friends, we all drove several new BMWs. This was in Cleveland.

A year and a half later I was living in California driving a BMW. The Ultimate Drive is what convinced me buy one, no doubt. I'm now on my third.
