 Questions about ED on 325i

Hi,
I want to buy a 325i and want to do an ED on that. But before I decide, I would like to know a few things.

Here is the config I am looking for a 325i and the INVOICE price for the car is coming out as $34,375/-

Q1. One of the dealers told me that he is ready to give me the car at the price he is getting it for. So, should I expect to get the car for 34,375? Where does the dealer get his comission from? Does BMW directly pay the dealer?

Q2. Another dealer told me that BMW is giving free round trip ticket for people who are doing ED. He even told me that its a Luftansa air ticket (round trip from whichever place you are going). I heard that BMW-Luftansa had a 2 for 1 deal. I had never heard a FREE round trip deal. Could this be true?

Many thanks!

A1: Most of the time a dealer makes money on the amount you pay over invoice and on the financing. I'm not sure how the commission concept works in the BMW world, especially for ED cars that don't come out of allocation.

A2: I haven't heard of a free round trip deal either. 2 for 1 is the best I've seen...
EDIT: Now that I think of it, I believe that last winter they did have a deal where both tickets were free and all you had to do was pay tax and security fees....

I seem to recall that, at one point in the past, there was a free ticket offer.

However, if you can get your dealer to put this in writing, youŽll fly for free.

At this time, BMW is not offering this, however.

lucky you if is selling it for invoice price and giving you free ticket.

Make sure you are talking to him about European Invoice not US invoice

BMW does not pay the dealer a commission on any car. The dealer and the salesperson make money based on the profit between their cost and what you pay.

There is a form of holdback, or CSI bonus, which is 5%. But dealers do not get this for european Delivery cars.

Hmm.. That explains why some people get 3er near invoice without ED. Dealer still makes 1500 or so.
