 I am blown away....

So here I am, finally trying to call all the dealerships in the Chicagoland area and find out the best deal I can do on ED for 530xi in May. One person said that Laurel BMW in Westmont helped them out a lot and they bought the car from them even though they are in Virginia. I called Laurel and spoke with that saleswoman, who claimed that she does not even know what invoice price is for European delivery and said that the most she can do is $1000 off ED sticker. How can someone consider this a good ED price/experience?

I had no luck with Chicago area dealers. I bought my car from Adrian at Nalley BMW as a result. No BS, no trouble, best car buying experience I have ever had. Plus it was a blast picking up the car in Atlanta and driving it back.

Well, that sucks. Anyway, I just called the dealership where I purchased my two other BMWs. The guy that sold me two previous cars is no longer there, but I had his cell phone, and he recommended me another guy there who would be able to give me a good deal. So far, he appears to have reluctantly agreed to my offer, so I am getting exciting. NOw as low as I have hoped, but at least it's in line with what most other people on this board have been getting. The dealership is also not in the most inconvenient spot and I will be servicing the car there as well.

LOL!! So you want to have your cake and eat it too??!!

Beggars can't be choosers

Not really - I know that convenience costs money. This dealer is about 20 miles away from me, but I do get up in that area once in a while, so I do not mind servicing my car there. I know that I probably could've found slightly better deal and saved a bit more money, but I think what I got is fair. BTW, how's European Map rental slots for May looking? I am planning on May 21st delivery.

May thru July is typically very busy for the Nav Disk Rental (you do mean Nav disk I assume?? ) Presently 60% of the rental slots are taken. Just so we don't take up bandwidth for for private conversation, please email me your info when you are ready.

cheers,
