I got SIM cards for use last summer and won't be needing them anymore. They are good for one year so they should be good until about mid to late June 2006. Incoming calls are free and if I recall correctly, there may even be some minutes left for outgoing calls. You may also re-charge if you want more airtime. If you're going to be in either (or both) of the countries and want to have a phone number let me know and I will mail them. Please make sure you want to use them.
