I'm going to order two E90s (one's for a friend) for ED on Monday next week. Does anyone know how much lead time BMW requires for an ED car? I'm seeing posts indicating early February 2006 orders with June 2006 pickup dates, and I'm hoping they don't need four-plus months' lead time. Anyone have an idea about a minimum time they can accommodate from US order to ED pick up?

no, 4 months is not required. I think the typical lead time is around 8 weeks, but it never hurts to start early to make sure you can get the pickup date you want.

Give him/her 2-3 days to get a response back from BMW NA and proceed from there.

The lead time you need can be as short as six weeks........you should notify your dealer
when you want to go,and they will request your date,once it's accepted,you can make your plane reservations

90-days is the typical SOP.

For 4-6 weeks, buyers would usually have to take what is in the pool.
