So for East Coast ED, I am reading 6-8 weeks is what it typically takes and some people are saying they are getting it faster. Any possibility for me to have it delivered more towards the 8 week mark? I know it's an odd request but it's for personal reasons.

East coast is 4-6 weeks. 6-8 is west coast time. Have it stored at your dealer and pick it up at the 8 week mark.

I'm sure you wouldn't have a problem finding a fellow Bimmerfester who will babysit your car while you're unable to pick it up!

would they really let me do that? I know dealers don't like inventory.

Why not? You already paid for the car 2-3 months in advance. Just ask them if its doable. They may charge you a storage fee.

Well, technically your car won't be inventory...but they should keep it for you at least a little while...
