problems with e90 ed after delivery in US

hey guys, i just picked up my car from the dealer earlier today after doing an ED, and when i got it home, i noticed a few strange things wrong with the vehicle. after installing my bluetooth phone, i made some calls. everything worked fine, phone book, i dialed, they answered, i heard them speak, but for some reason the other person could not her me speak. i thought maybe it was a fluke, hung up, and then called someone else. everything was fine but when i talked, the other person could not hear me. i thought maybe something was on mute or something was wrong, but i played with all the options, and nothing seems to fix this.. i figured hey ill go to the dealer tomorrow get it looked at.. then after locking my car, i noticed that the red light on the rear view mirror does not blink or flash or anything. now, i was very confused. im guessing that these two things could be related, and that maybe its a blown fuse that covers both of them? everything else seems to be working fine.. i really dont know what to do and its kind of upsetting me. i guess ill try to go to my dealer tomorrow, but unfortunately, tomorrow is my salesmens day off. anyone have any ideas or suggestions? anything would be GREATLY appreciated.

ps - and dont worry, a writeup with pics of my ED are coming soon!

I remember my red blinky light didn't blink in europe, and the delivery person in Munich said that the alarm is not activated until the car reaches the dealer in US. Maybe the dealer didn't activate your alarm after it reached them. No idea on the bluetooth question - can't u just have someone fix that issue, I mean the sales guy wouldn't know how to make it work, his work is to sell cars. One of the tech's at the dealer should be able to help you even if it is your sales guys day off.

It was my understanding that E90s don't come with the alarm - and that this is a dealer installed option. So there is nothing to activate as far as I know - but if you ordered the alarm (at extra cost), the dealer will install it.

You are right. However, I read somewhere that the September S/W update will make the clown nose blink even if there is no alarm on the car

alright thanks guys, i just made an appointment, and they said they cant promise that they will fix it today but they'll look at it. anyway, thanks for the advice guys. as for the light, i dont reallly care if it blinks, i just thought it always did by default because i've had 3 other BMWs since 1999 and they all blinked (altho granted, none were 3 series). ill also ask about that, and find out if maybe they can just make it blink even if there is no alarm. thanks again guys, always appreciated

ps - business/first class in air france is amazing , thats what we flew from new york to paris. def a great experience, and we also did it on miles lol its a great deal tho worth all the extra miles

No idea on an E90, but on an E46 one could get the blink without the alarm. But, the dealer had to configure it--default was no blink. Some dealers resisted, or resisted until you paid them to do it. Boo to them.
