How far ahead can you order?
This is my first post here, but I have been lurking for a while and reading all about ED. I think my wife and both want to do ED this coming May. My question is if I place my order for this month, will I be locked into the current money factor or will I have to pay the money factor that will be current then. Can you put your order in now to take advantage of the low money factors on leasing a 525 or 330 for later pickup, say may or june? My understanding is the first lease payment isn't due until 15 days before pickup. Is there any money you have to pay out of pocket now before pickup? Can you pick which day you want to pickup the car, or does BMW assign you a date based on when you order your vehicle. Thanks in advance!

Thanks in advance! | Usually a deposit to place the order. $500 to $1000 is typical. Some dealers won't even require it, if they've dealt with you in the past.
No, you pick the day and your SA will send the request to BMWNA in NJ and they'll say "ok" or offer another day. You need to check and make sure it's not a German holiday.
It never hurts to put in a date request early. In fact, you're only 3 mths out now, so you really should start negotiating the deal and getting your pick-up date reserved. They usually get back to the SA within 48-72 hours with an ok or no on the pick-up date.
I put in my date request almost 6 months in advance before official prices were even available yet.
Also they like a 30-day lead time for completion of the build before pick-up. So they would complete your car in April for a May pick-up. In fact April allocations will be out at the end of this month.
