Lufthansa Deal
I went to book the two-for-one deal and was told that the full fare flight was around $1,400. I was looking at the Lufthansa website at the same time and the exact same flight was $993. The total for both flights on the 2-4-1 was $1,640. Seems like a scam to me.
| | Reply » Lufthansa Deal | kinda. The taxes is what gets you. Just try to book a regular flight thru expedia. Its cheaper.
| | Reply » Lufthansa Deal | United's taxes are typically lower (125-175 $ less). Lufthansa has code-share with United. Try a orbitz/travelocity/kayak search, look for the cheapest united flights, call luft and ask for that specific routing. it will come out cheaper. it might still end up being cheaper to get it otherwise though.

*************************** Same deal just date change - nothing special. Every time I search web for good deal (summer ED) Lufthansa price is a $400-$500 more then AA or Delta. With 4 travelers - I better stay away from Lufthansa.
| | Reply » Lufthansa Deal | During non-peek season, it appears the Lufthansa deal will save one a ($100-200) on two tickets...by no means an amazing deal. I decided to just cashing 100K Delta miles for two Air France tickets, still had to pay $100 per ticket tax and aiport fees.
