I took delivery of my 650i on the 25th and dropped it off at Harms the same afternoon.
The delivery took about 10 minutes and that was a pleasant surprise. Everbody at the center were super nice and a special note of thanks to Judith.
I used Rolf to taxi me around and I cant say say enough good things about him. He is overall a super guy! All I can say is you will not regret using his services.
After dropping off my car I took the train from Munich to Dusseldorf and I am glad I did. There was major snow falling after Frankfurt and around Köln the traffic had come to a standstill and later on in the evening I heard on the news that there was a major accident on the Autobahn. Germany is still experiencing a very cold winter with below normal temperatures. My advice is dress warm for Europe!

Surdy, I will also pick-up a 650i sport at the end of Feb. Did you have problem driving in Munich with the summer tires? If the weather is bad I am alittle concerned about getting the car accross town to the drop-off center at Harms. How was your experience? Thanks for the report.

Thanks for the report. | There was no problem driving in Munich or on the highway to drop the car off at Harms. Since most of it is highway driving (about ten miles) you should have no problem unless its snowing heavily or there is freezing rain.
I have some pics but they will have to wait till I get a chance to upload them.

I know you save some money on the price but you have to pay for your trip over there and don't have use of the car for a couple of months.

It depends, clearly if you can do the travel for free with accumulated airline miles and hotel points then obviously, yes. Otherwise it depends on the model, the saving on a 650i is about $5K which is clearly alot more than the travel, if assuming you don't pay for full fare First Class tickets. However, saving on a 325i is only about $2000, which make it about break-even if you have pay your way, but you still can come out a few $100 to over a $1000 ahead, if you travel cheap.
