OMG LOL Got bill for A-bahn Speeding Ticket

LMAO as many of you have read in the sticky that I got a speeding ticket in Germany.

Today I got a bill for 26,74 EUR which is the amount that I didn't have enough cash for at the time.

LOL the bill is completely in German, but I can make out the 26,74 bill and the bank name and acct to transfer funds to.

I've posted the 5-pages in hopes one of our fine German members can translate it for me and confirm my conclusions. Hopefully it'll be readable. I can fax it too, if anyone cares to assist me in translating.

I guess the real question is do I pay it or skip it and risk never being able to do ED again or enter Germany.

LOL TIA

I tried reading it but the scan is very low res.

It does have bank info for a transfer, I did see a SWIFT number.

It looks like (although the page was not clear under the headline) you may have a 1 month suspension in driving.

If you can rescan at higher res, I can help more. Sorry I cannot do better - my eyes are tired, it was a very long day, I had an ABC World News Tonight crew with me for a good part of it (watch tomorrow night's ABC network news).

That's definitely a first on the 'Fest.....if you plan to ever to ED delivery than I recommend that you get it translated and pay the ticket. Just my $0.02.

So the fine was about 120 Euros and they tracked you down here at home for the remaining 27 Euro balance? Wow. Or did you pay in dollars and they want the currency conversion differential now?

I'm planning another ED for this year and I wouldn't want that on my mind while driving over there.

LOL not the conversion, just the amount that I was short on. I had given them like 60EUR and maybe $40US. I don't remember the exact amount anymore.

When I got the bill, I was more concerned that they were trying to re-collect the entire 120EUR then I'd really would have been pis*ed.

But I saw the 26,74 EUR and realized that's what they were doing.

Well another ED story to tell at work tomorrow..LOL
