This was a PM to me and I think a very good question that's worthy of being posted and further discussion.

....I have a quick question for ya. I'm working on my ED trip plans which include the European Grand Prix and I was wondering if the Gerling insurance we get excludes coverage on the Nurburgring (Nordschleife)? From my understanding some companies specifically mention the Nurburgring and or 1 way toll roads since the ring (Nordschleife that is) isn't technically a track, it's a 1 way toll road with unlimited speed. As you can imagine there's almost no way I'll take my car on it if I'm not covered. Thanks in advance.

Actually, I don't know the answer to this one.
I have been told that ALL German Insurance company (for normal German citizens) excludes incidents occured on the Nordschlief.
If I am not mistaking, I recall the ED employees telling me it is included. However, I would not take anyones word for it. Unfortunately, I do not speak German, and thus cannot read the insurance exclusions. And thus I made the assumption that my new car is not covered on the Nordschlief.
Yes!! I was extremely nervous driving on the ring. Knowing my car is not covered if I wreck it.
Yes, the adrinaline rush is un describable, its a once in a lifetime experince and I would have never backed off from it.
No, I didn't press my self to the limit and trying to test the limit of my own skills and my car's.
No, I didn't go for the speed record.
The solution to your dilema is this,
DON'T Crash!!
