Lake Garda Regiona and Driving Sirmione
Can anyone recommend a good hotel with parking around Lake Garda? I am currently holding a reservation in Sirmione, although I have read on a few travel sites that indicate that driving in Sirmione is a less than desirable feat...Have any of you driven your ED BMWs in Sirmione and if so was it "all that bad"?
Otherwise, any hotel suggestions for more accessible towns/areas around Lake Garda would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

I didn't find driving there to be much of a problem other than making sure to avoid all of the italian crotch rockets and scooters. I stayed at the Hotel du Lac both times I visited.

Thanks in advance. | We stayed in Brenzone, also a Hotel du Lac (I think every major town has one).
http://www.gardalake.it/dulacbrenzone/index.htm Nice place, although the meal left something to be desired (it was included in the room price). Parking was in a lot, but I felt entirely safe leaving the car there. Didn't go into Sirmione, but went around the rest of the lake.
I think, as with any town, especially in Italy, your best bet is to park somewhere safe and walk around. The distances are all very short, and it's a lot easier. If the distances are too long, then your in a town large enough to have public transit, which you should take.
