Trying to refine my itinerary
We'll, I'm in the process of getting my order placed for my X3, and I've come up with a proposed itinerary.
It still has some gaps, and I'd be interested in comments and suggestions.
Sun 5/14: Arrive MUC, take a nap, and tour Munich (probably Mike's bike tours) Stay in central Munich.
Mon 5/15: Go to delivery center, get car. Possibly hit Dachau or a factory tour. (Any suggestions? Dingolfing seems out of the way from my plans) Stay somewhere convenient in suburban Munich.
Tue 5/16: A (lazy) drive on the Deutche Alpinstrasse to Lindau. Stay in Lindau.
Wed 5/17: Lindau to Innsbruck through Voralberg. Stay in Innsbruck.
Thurs 5/18: Explore Innsbruck, Take a scenic drive to Brennersee and back.
Friday 5/19: Head North toward Rhineland-Phalz. Spend night in Rothenburg odT to keep the trip broken up into relatively short drives.
Sat 5/20: Complete drive north, perhaps hit Wurzburg. Stay in Rhine/Mosel/Nahe Valley
Sun 5/21: TBD, in the Rhine/Mosel/Nahe Valleys
Mon 5/22: Visit freinds in the Bad Kreuznach area. Stay there. I may choose to park myself in Bad Kreuznach for a few days, and explore from there, as it is centrally located.
Tue 5/23: Tour in AM, drop off car in Frankfurt. Stay in hotel near the airport
Wed 5/24: Catch plane back home.
I have two concerns:
1. I'm torn between two days in Lindau and one in Innsbruck, or the opposite, shown above.
2. I haven't a clue what to do in the wine region, mostly due to a lack of research. I'm a casual wine fan, so I'd be interested in some advice on vineyards that may be worth visiting.

Don't give in to the urge to sleep, go out and do stuff, and go to bed at a normal time for Germany.

By the time the plane leaves, I'm halfway on Central European time.
Whatever you do, don't nap. You won't get back up

It seems to make the rest of the day managable, without feeling like a zombie. Perhaps I'll try the "eyelids of steel" approach this trip.
