 "Internet Dealer" OK for ED?

Has anyone used Autobytel, CarsDirect or similar internet car-buying service for an ED car?

If you're thinking internet dealer, why not just go with Adrian from Nalley BMW. They are a board sponsor.

He offers good prices as well as service especially with European Delivery. Also answers your messages pretty fast.

They are not true e-commerce like amazon.com. They simply refer you to a local dealer. The prices from those guys can be higher, I would rather negotiate directly with your local dealers or call some of the recommended ones here.

I second that - the deal that carsdirect was giving me was not as good as the one that I was able to negotiate with the dealer.

carsdirect should be used to establish the maximum you should pay for the car.
If it is not much more than you want to pay, or if you do not want to go through the hassle of buying a car yourself buy it through them. If you do the negotiating yourself you will always do better than them. After all carsdirect is adding their commission to what they are paying to the dealer.

Agree 100% here. I did much better talking to the dealer.
