This clears up a little of the mystery regarding the difficulty tracking the VIN# on the WW site. If the vessel appears on the WW schedule don't assume it's a ship operated by WW!

<<
As to your particular case;

Please be advised that BMW recently changed operator from Wallenius Wilhelmsen Lines to NYK and K-Line for some ports in the USA . Port Hueneme is one of those ports that now is operated by NYK. Our company is not tracking those units, and we will thus not have details of the progress in our database.

However, we thank you for contacting us and wish many pleasant drives in you new car!

Best regards

What a nice message! And he/she (Berit?) even wished me happy driving!!
I wonder why BMW dropped WW for the West Coast?

Unfortunately, the NYK website cargo tracking page requires registration. And to be registered, you need to be a shipper, exporter, importer, etc.

Oh... Thanks a lot for this post. This explains why I couldn't track neither my car nor the vessel itself on WW website. I'm on MAERSK TAIYO and scheduled to be unloaded on June 26. I'm freaking dying here without my car! The weather is so nice and I have a lot of time....

I think mine is on this vessel/voyage...it matches the data provided by EH Harms...

Vessel: Hual Triton | Voyage no. 68

Port ETA ETD
Zeebrugge 12.06.04 12.06.04
Bremerhaven 13.06.04 15.06.04
Zeebrugge 17.06.04 17.06.04
Southampton 19.06.04 19.06.04
Jacksonville 29.06.04 29.06.04
Port Hueneme 12.07.04 12.07.04
Los Angeles 13.07.04 13.07.04
Yokohama 29.07.04 29.07.04

But, no VIN or cargo tracking web page (unless registered), so I will just have to be patient and wait.

I made it on that slow-ass boat also.
