e36M3r, to the white courtesy phone please i'd love to do ED on M6 during the summer of 2007. i would pay the dealer same money as if i picked up the car locally. So logically to them it should be no diference what-so-ever where i pick the car up. Anybody has "M ED" friendly dealers in S. Cal? My dealer seems a little confused about giving a straight answer on M6 via ED. |

So a lot of dealers won´t do it, just to clarify.
It´s a problem BMW should try to address - and I´m sure a few people will respond with friendly dealers here.

i Quote: whats a holdback? A holdback is the %age the dealer gets back (5%) if they meet their CSI survey. There's no CSI survey for e.d. cars and no holdback payment. it would also if i buy it without ED - so why does it matter to them? Yes but they don't get the 5%. i hope so. thanks! btw, did you tell us about secret 3er feature that you had or you still keeping it secret? After further investigation, it's not secret but given the newness of Comfort Access we thought it was (we = managers of BMW in Freimann and myself). It relates to the fact that you can close the windows and sunroof by pressing the CA ridges. You can't close the windows and sunroof with your keyfob in the U.S. although you can in other markets. Hence... |

I have on two occasions gotten my friendly stealer to give up a car from their allocation and have it delivered in Munich. One was a M3 and the other a X3 both of which were delivered to me before they were available in the ED program. I was at a dealership on Freidrich strasse this past December and they had a M5 and M6 coupe on the showroom floor. The M6 would be my choice.

I've got a local dealer willing to do an M5 ED this Summer/Fall, but as stated before they've told me they're not getting credit for the car (holdback) and it comes from their allocation. Most times it takes being a repeat customer for them to do this. An M5 is doable, but as new as the M6 is - it might be late '07 before any will be willing to do this.
