 European Delivery and Extended Warranty

Just though some of you ED'ers may be ineterested or get a laugh out of this. I've been pondering the purchase of "BMW's" extended service and warranty. For my own reasons, I decided that it was a wise investment. Working with my dealers finance department, I thought I had pretty much sealed the deal, anyways....

Upon my arrival at home, I had a voicemail that the extended service contract was no problem but indicated that BMW will not honor the purchase of an "BMW" extended warranty contract for a European Delivered Car but they could get one of those third party warranties. Feeling that this may be just a breakdown in communications, I phoned another local dealership (playing dumb) who also confirmed this crap.

Has anyone else run into this problem. What was the resolution.

Base solely on the principle that BMW refuses to stand by their own product (and my extremely short temper) I threatened my CA and dealer with legal action. They placed a call to the corporate office but everyone had gone home for the weekend. My CA was as torqued as I was and promised that he would resolve BMW's problem or mine.

Anyone..Anyone..I'm just so pissssseeeeedddd off right now.

That's crazy, the first I've heard of such a thing.

You mean BMW FS? or the dealer? That's what I meant when I asked whom the voicemail was from.
