 Uffizi tickets

Is there some place to buy tickets to the Uffizi gallery in Florence online? I found a few sites - but they seem to have overheads in excess of 100% - moreover, I don't know if the sites are legit.

Need the same info for the colliseum in Rome (trying to save the hour of standing in line for the tickets).

TIA

Ask your hotel to reserve them for you. Villa Fiesole offers this service. Make sure you ask at least a week in advance.

Have you tried this one: http://www.florenceart.it/booking/it/
there is a 3 Euros to add to the price.
They also have Rome and Venice.

Edit: forget it!! I just checked the site: You were right: they more than double the price
Ho about booking by telephone? Tel: 055294883

i just got back from ED and we went to the Uffizi also. awesome experience. almost overwhelming seeing as how every piece of art is considered a masterpiece. we didnt buy the tickets we just showed up early in the AM (around 8) and waited in line. not more that 15 mins id say. but i guess it depends on when youre going.

In 2001 I call direct to Uffizi and make reservation. They give you 30 min window for showing up - no waiting in line. Just walk to ticket office and tell your name. If I remember correct it cost me only $1 extra per ticket.
Check Rick Steves web site http://www.ricksteves.com - he has a lot information regarding travel in Europe. We use his books all the time when we go there - never get disappointed.
