ED cost for 325i
Hi, can anyone confirm if the price for the base car (325i) for ED is $26,150/-?
If yes, then I think the most you save is $2300 (as compared to US delivery)
I saw someone saying $5k (is it on a different make?).
Thanks

Thanks | If you compare ED Invoice to US MSRP its almost $5K difference for a 325i. Why compare ED Apples (Invoice) to US Oranges (MSRP)? Because if someone leases the residual is computed on the US MSRP, and say they get $xxx over ED Invoice, a significant amount of the depreciation cost on the lease is reduced on ED... The more expensive the car the bigger the savings so the residual benefit from ED increases since the difference between ED Invoice and US MSRP is about 16% not a fixed amount. To emphasize this point, with the current numbers, the difference between leasing ED a 325i and 330i (assume base) is about $14/month. For those $14 you get Logic 7, Xenon, bigger wheels, some chrome and the extra HP (makes the 330i a much better ED lease value)... this is due to the extra depreciation saving as explained above and better Money Factor on the 330i. However, if you compare the two lease deals in the US, the difference is more like $50/month.

So, how much will the difference be in the cost for me?

Thanks | In my opinion, (and trying to abide by Bee's rules of not posting actual deals), you should subtract ED invoice from US invoice. That gives you a "base" savings. Since some dealers will take less profit on a ED vehicle (also no MACO to worry about), I'd add $500 to the base savings. That will be your total savings. Of course, you have to figure in your cost of going to Europe. Most of the time it's a wash, ie, you get a "free" Euro vacation.
