My dealer just called asking me to come into the dealership and bring a copy of my passport, no problem. However, he stated that I would need to sign the purchase order and not to worry that the pricing is ED MSRP, that the earlier agreed upon price and lease payment is still valid. Since this is my first ED experience is this standard business practice.
By the way, I am scheduled to pick-up my 530xi on Monday 3/13. I called Luftansa and they quoted me 2 for 1 BMW special - $670 RT, ord-muc, for me and $167 (taxes) for my wife. Sounded fair to me.
Thanks for any help.

hmm im not to sure about that. i remember bringing in my passport and i remember signing the purchase order...but my dealer never mentioned about the order having the ED MSRP price (maybe i didnt pay attention to it...but i dont think id miss that). id double check before i sign it. at the very least make sure the agreed upon price is in written in the purchase order with his signature...and make sure you get a copy of it. cant be too sure... some car salesmen will do anything to make some extra cash (i.e. rustproofing, glass etching, ect.) im not saying all carsalesmen are suspect but there are a few bad apples who ruins it for everyone. good luck with that.

there is something along the lines of using MSRP for the depreciation/residual in a lease payment, but i'm not sure exactly what that means. you may want to take a look at it from that angle, as they may use the MSRP figure to calculate the a portion of the lease payment.

Yes...the ED Purchase Order form (blue and white form) is at full ED MSRP. IF you're worried about the "deal" you worked out then just get something seperate in writing from the dealer.
Depreciation is calculated on the full US MSRP (the window sticker price minus destination) not the ED MSRP....that's why ED leases are such rocking deals.

Passport is definately required since they compare the dealers copy to when you present it at Freimann.
I don't remember signing anything with MSRP value - only the actual selling price.
When do you pickup??!!

Thanks for the replies. I will have the dealership at least sign the sheet notating the agreed upon price.
Also, I leave 3/11 for Munich, will pick-up 3/13.
