ED lemon law
How do lemon laws apply to ED vehicles? Do the laws of the state I take redelivery in preside? Thanks.
| | Reply » ED lemon law | Good question, I'd also be interested to know the answer to this.

Each state will have it's own lemon law. If I remember correctly (don't quote me on this and rely on me - please seek counsel), the Lemon Law applies as follows:
You have a continuous problem within 1 year of your purchase or within your warranty period (whichever is shorter), then Lemon Law may apply.
The "continuous problem" is where you go and they try to repair the same item 3 times or more and they can't fix it or when you are w/o your car for 15 days work days or more.
DISCLAIMER: Again, I am not providing legal advice. Please seek an attorney.

Thanks. | An ED vehicle is a US-sold vehicle that you happen to pick up in Europe. Nothing about picking it up in Europe changes its legal status or your legal rights relating to the vehicle once you're in the US (one possible exception is that ED creates a tax loophole in some states because you don't register it within xx days of purchase, so it's not treated as a new car).
