 Car status question - shipping



I will admit upfront this stems a bit from my anticipation and impatience...but I'm curious to know which ship my car would be on. I know some of you guys are experts and would have a better guess than me.

Anyway, I dropped off my car at Harms Munchen on Dec. 19th. When I called the 800# to get an update on my car last week (around the 24th) it said "In Transit". So I emailed Harms yesterday and they responded this morning saying only that my car was taken by truck to Bremerhaven on the 19th.

My question is, what are the chances it made it onto the blue Hawk on the 23rd?

This would save me 8 days if it made it on there as opposed to the Bellona that is loading on the 29th. Any thoughts are appreciated!

Hey Slubu,

FYI - My car was dropped 11/21 (Munich) and arrived 11/22am (Bremerhaven) and left Bremerhaven 11/29. ???

Cars need to sit a minimum of 48 hours at the port before they can be loaded onto the vessel. That having been said, the shipper doesnīt like keeping cars at the port longer than necessary. Also, BMW doesnīt necessarily have space booked on every ship leaving Bremerhaven.

Thereīs a good chance it got on - you didnīt have a 48 hour rule conflict to contend with so keep the thumbs together for good luck and hopefully it will already be on the way.

Sweet, thanks Jspira...I look forward to finally getting it.
