Let me start with saying that having Rolf involved was priceless in my case. I was supposed to arrive on 12/21 at 11AM and due to delays out of Miami and missing my connection, I didn't arrive until 4:30PM. Luckally I called Rolf from Dusseldorf and he did me the favor of notifing the Delivery Center and was able to schedule me for the very first pickup today 12/22.
Delivery went great! Due to weather, my car having perf. package and me being from Miami.... hence not really knowing how to drive in this weather.... I dropped off the car today at Harms. Although, not before hitting the A9 up to Nurnberg and then returning via A3 and A93 through Regensburg. Just over 200 miles and I gotta say, I can't wait to get the car back home.
Ran into what I would call a good amount of snow just before getting to Nurnberg and it didn't stop until way after the return at Harms.
The snow was fine while on the Autobahn, but I had a good time with the tail wanting to skid while driving around areas close to the Harms location. It's amazing how fast people drive here even with the snow(Not a bad thing). Back home a drop a rain falls and everyone is crawling.
With respect to washing the cars prior to return, I went to a Shell station that is relatively close to Harms which has great washing facility.
Attached are a few pics.... off to Chemnitz I go tomorrow on the train.
